we recently finished greening a terrace for a new coffee shop - opening soon

✿ added a large green area, new planting and extra greenery around the tree nearby

now the terrace feels more like a small garden in the middle of the city - excited to see this place open soon

the main request was privacy - to create a green wall around the pool using large plants and trees / also the space is extremely sunny and windy, so everything had to be planted as stable as possible

✿ we used stable in shape planters, dense soil and extra weight inside the pots to make sure the plants stay secure, even during strong winds on the hill

a wall of plants: callistemon, metrosideros, phillyrea angustifolia, laurel and olive trees

✿ we also added a few separate pots to connect the greenery through the whole terrace: olive and orange tree, pistachio, laurel

the space needed a full reset before planting, we cleaned everything and filled it with mix of resistant plants and flowers such as pistachio, metrosideros, calistemon, salvia and roses

also added a few pots near the windows to connect the planting outside with the café itself

for Sant Jordi we created a series of pop-up spots across the city, bringing living big roses into cafés and local spaces

✿ all plants were sourced from local farmers in Catalonia, chosen for their quality and natural fragrance

✿ we worked with a selection of cafés in Barcelona and one location in Girona, adapting the format to each space

✿ alongside the plants, we prepared simple care instructions - so each rose could continue living beyond the day

we began with a full reset: cleaned all plants, pruned them, straightened the branches, repotted and treated

sometimes the best way to start is simply to give plants the attention they’ve been missing

✿ now everything is slowly recovering, we’ll keep taking care of them

the main task was to restore the existing plants and bring them back to balance

sometimes plants don’t need replacing - they need attention

we’ll now be visiting every 2 weeks for regular care to keep everything healthy and consistent / Barcelona

at the entrance we placed a metrosideros in a bubble-shaped pot on wheels - easy to move and easy to adapt to the flow of guests

inside, we added ficus lyrata and schefflera - plants that fit naturally into the interior

at the entrance – a real laurel tree, the same one that gives you bay leaves for cooking

✿ philodendron bifurcatum and xanadu ✿ epipremnum blue ✿ epiphyllum zigzag in hanging pots

inside – each one was chosen individually, unique, uncommon species grown by local farmers across Catalunya

we refreshed the bamboo inside the studio and brought it back to a healthy shape

from now on, we take care of the plants regularly

the space is large - over 1000 m² of light, air, and plantswhen we first came, the greenery had been untouched for 5 years: tired soil, dry leaves, no care

we brought it back to life: ✿ replaced the topsoil ✿ added new plants ✿ fertilized and pruned ✿ treated against pests

now we visit every week to keep everything green and growing

✿ replaced dead bamboo and added new plants in every zone

✿ moved huge planters, built compositions, fed the soil and cared for each one

✿ restored the irrigation system

and now the garden blooms again - we keep it that way with regular care every week

✿ the space has a large terrace, where we keep care of outdoor plants

✿ indoors, many areas had very little natural light, so we added grow lights to keep the plants healthy — including large trees and a blooming strelitzia
