we recently finished greening a terrace for a new coffee shop - opening soon

✿ added a large green area, new planting and extra greenery around the tree nearby

now the terrace feels more like a small garden in the middle of the city - excited to see this place open soon

the main request was privacy - to create a green wall around the pool using large plants and trees / also the space is extremely sunny and windy, so everything had to be planted as stable as possible

✿ we used stable in shape planters, dense soil and extra weight inside the pots to make sure the plants stay secure, even during strong winds on the hill

a wall of plants: callistemon, metrosideros, phillyrea angustifolia, laurel and olive trees

✿ we also added a few separate pots to connect the greenery through the whole terrace: olive and orange tree, pistachio, laurel

the space needed a full reset before planting, we cleaned everything and filled it with mix of resistant plants and flowers such as pistachio, metrosideros, calistemon, salvia and roses

also added a few pots near the windows to connect the planting outside with the café itself

for Sant Jordi we created a series of pop-up spots across the city, bringing living big roses into cafés and local spaces

✿ all plants were sourced from local farmers in Catalonia, chosen for their quality and natural fragrance

✿ we worked with a selection of cafés in Barcelona and one location in Girona, adapting the format to each space

✿ alongside the plants, we prepared simple care instructions - so each rose could continue living beyond the day

we began with a full reset: cleaned all plants, pruned them, straightened the branches, repotted and treated

sometimes the best way to start is simply to give plants the attention they’ve been missing

✿ now everything is slowly recovering, we’ll keep taking care of them

the main task was to restore the existing plants and bring them back to balance

at the entrance we placed a metrosideros in a bubble-shaped pot on wheels - easy to move and easy to adapt to the flow of guests

inside, we added ficus lyrata and schefflera - plants that fit naturally into the interior

En la entrada, un auténtico laurel, el mismo que te da hojas de laurel para cocinar.

En el interior, cada uno fue elegido individualmente, especies únicas y poco comunes cultivadas por agricultores locales de toda Cataluña.

Renovamos el bambú dentro del estudio y le devolvimos su forma saludable.

A partir de ahora cuidamos las plantas regularmente.

El espacio es grande: más de 1000 m² de luz, aire y plantas. Cuando llegamos por primera vez, la vegetación había estado intacta durante 5 años: tierra cansada, hojas secas, sin cuidado.

Le devolvimos la vida: ✿ reemplazamos la capa superficial del suelo ✿ agregamos nuevas plantas ✿ fertilizamos y podamos ✿ tratamos contra plagas

Ahora lo visitamos cada semana para mantener todo verde y creciendo.

✿ reemplazó el bambú muerto y agregó nuevas plantas en cada zona

✿ Movió enormes jardineras, construyó composiciones, alimentó la tierra y cuidó cada una

✿ restauró el sistema de riego

Y ahora el jardín vuelve a florecer: lo mantenemos así con un cuidado regular cada semana.

✿ El espacio cuenta con una amplia terraza, donde mantenemos el cuidado de las plantas exteriores.

✿ En interiores, muchas áreas tenían muy poca luz natural, por lo que agregamos luces de cultivo para mantener las plantas saludables, incluidos árboles grandes y una strelitzia en flor.
